This GeoPackage is associated with the dataset VectorDistributionStatus_2026.
Mapping polygons correspond to ‘regional’ administrative units:
- NUTS 3 (Eurostat/GISCO or equivalent)
- NUTS 2 or equivalent in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, England (UK), Scotland (UK), and Wales (UK)
- Global Administrative Unit Layers (GAUL) from FAO for northern Sweden and regions outside the EU/EEA, the Western Balkans, and Türkiye
The NUTS system used is the 2024 version; the GAUL system is the 2015 edition.
